I feed my Diacamma pinkies and flys. I let the cocoons in the basin and wait until they hatch out. These flys survive maybe one or two days. They are very efficient in hunting flys :)

Crickets killed your ants? They have never killed any of my ants when I put them in live hmm...

I didn't tried it out myself (i only give them dead crickets). But i know they can hurt ore kill an ant.

yes i have herd from other peoples expirnces of feeding crikets as live food to ants, an yes crickets do/can kill your ants. so if u feed them these best to give to your ants dead or just the one or somthink like that

Never had any problems with workers getting hurt but what seeds do Pheidole pallidula eat apart from sunflower.

JimmyVe: (26. Feb 2008 22:21)

Well you can try out with bird seeds. I don't give my colony seeds. They don't accept much seeds and they are doing just fine without them.

Jimmy do u give them honey water still ?

JimmyVe: (27. Feb 2008 17:29)

I give them flowered Honey and Invert sugar ore sometimes Forest honey . They like the flowered honey most. ;)

SteveUK28: (28. Feb 2008 15:09)

is that with water or in a pill plate? And im guessin u never give them honey brought from a shop?

JimmyVe: (28. Feb 2008 17:49)

No it is not with water. I give it to them like it is in the bottle. ;)

I tried honey before, they like it to but not as much as the flowered honey.
