Matt_LFC: Mymrica rubra cannot drown (18. Jun 2012 18:45)

As some of you know i have a Mymrica r ubra colony of around 200 now which i keep within a custom made formicarium with a moat around the edge. Well every now and then (a few a week) will fall into the moat but this is what i have found out that if i get them out within like 2days and put them in a test tube and come back the next day they are back alive running around. I'm not very good at science so i couldn't tell you how it happens but i think it's quite amazing.

Not sure if its only Myrmica r ubra or if anyone else knows this but i thought i would share it with you all.
