Hello ,I‘m a Chinese boy,I have Messor aciculatus colonies but I cann't feed them well !
the first thing is the baby grow so slowly and the workers is smeller than these in the nature!
the second is they dislike everything which I feed them, even they eat ,but most of the seed and grain are threw away .
I think this species of Messor is very hard to keep, and it is very challenge for keeper!
who can tell me how to keep them and the right way to overcome the problem!
I have no experience sorry, I would have thought however that they eat seeds like all Messor do. Perhaps you should try different seed, smaller. And do not forget to feed them very small insects. Also Messor first gen workers are going to be VERY smaller, much smaller than those in the wild... Future gen will get bigger and stronger.
Good luck and :sign_welcome: to Antstore :)
