Hi guys,

After 2 years i FINALLY decided to buy an ant farm + arena + ants. Due to money i chose for the (somewhat cheaper) starterkit xs from antstore and a L asius niger queen + 11-25 workers. The distance between the two plates (inside) is 6 mm. Now i am really worrying this might be too small :(. I know the nest will have to be extended Anyway once the colony grows, but is this antfarm for now big enough of not at all?

Please help!!!

Tho some ant colonies can stay in just a singel test tube as a nest for months! ;)

so i guess it will be good for a while!

This sounds way to small the queen won´t fit through the entrance and would´nt be able to turn around between the plates...

costs the same but is better for your ants.

You can expand the nest with further formicaria 20x10, 20x20.

Take care, that distance between plates are no more than 1,2cm, because for seeing the ants inside.
