It looks great! But what are the little "shades" in the nest? Little holes or is it painted?
im guessing there drill holes, as it makes it easier to chip out with drill holes
well i thought it looks better with a little structure at the walls, first I was making it al smooth. Butt it looks 2 sterile this way it looks a little more natural :P

no drilling holes only uses a screw driver!!
I also have 2 be honest I made 2 ytong blocks, as you can see 1 has a sharp angle the other has a curve.
the one with the Angle also the one with the holes was 2 big made a miss calculation thought my basin was 35 cm x25x25 butt is 35cm x 25x20.:S
The ants could also store their eggs in this, if its deep enough. :wink:

also gonna put some needles in there from trees.
And I hope thomie gets our ants today then by the end of the week i have also some ants in there
I first wanted to buy needles, but they are quite expensive. So i went to a forest last week and gathered some needles and some nice fir cones!
I havent set up my basin yet, because im still waiting for the PTFE i have ordered yesterday at Antstore.
