SteveUK28: Camp. ligniperda (4. Aug 2008 23:47)

Hey guys,

I recieved today my new colony of ligniperda.. queen plus around 15 workers. Ive put them into a temporary tank for now with PTFE around the edges and all seemed good.. then after around an hour they went quiet and stayed in the test tube.. normal behaviour then i thought...

Now.. tonight im sitting there watching TV and i feel somat on my leg so i just like shake me leg an think no more of it... It happens again, so i look down thinking ok whats this.. and i got a ligi crawling up me leg lol..
So i go and turn my light on, only to find 4 ligis out and about exploring lol
PTFE not even almost keeping them in.. So top on the tank and now chance for them to escape..

Il add some pics tomorrow :D

If you make the PTFE wide enough it should keep them inside, still always better to have a lid to. Just to make sure. ;)

yeah , of course , PTFE must be absolutely dry , if is it in wet , it works slow or do not work
