badman: can C. ligniperda and C. herculaneus share a foraging area? (28. Mai 2009 16:44)

I have 1 small colony of each and not a lot of space, can they share a foraging area, or would it lead to one colony raiding the other's nest (as they would have to be connected). Assuming they have adequate food.

Im pretty sure the answer to this is a def NO. I think you would have to have a massive foraging area to even consider this.. and then you would have to make sure there really was lots of food.. and still i think you would be taking a huge risk.

The foraging area does not have to be huge anyways.. i use plastic fish tanks for most of my setups.. works fine ;)
