Because some people here were showing interest in this species, I'm going to make a blog here about my colony ;)

This species is like most other Camponotus species very slow in developing workers, so it took almost a year to raise 15 workers.
At the moment all the older workers have died because of age and I have only 5 workers remaining, but there's a lot of brood so they'll be fine.

They are in deed very nice ants.
Well, I like them because the workers have a more slender posture than most Camponotus species, also the queen isn't as shiny as the others ;)
Hehe, curious that you like their slenderness; I've allways preferred robust and sturdy ants, like most Messor species.
And ofcourse most Camponotus majors are also very beautiful.
But this looks like a grand species indeed!
ants like that remind me of spiders the way they span out and are thin sorta thing
