badman, at what temparature you are keeping them?

badman: (21. Mär 2008 23:15)

about normal room temp. 18 - 22 degrees. I know they like it warm but they just woke up and I dont exactly have the ideal setup

JimmyVe: (22. Mär 2008 09:39)

It is a good temperature for now, you could raise it to 25°c - 30°c later on.

mzfckr: (22. Mär 2008 11:13)

27°c is a good temp for them, right?

JimmyVe: (22. Mär 2008 18:31)

27°c is perfect. :)

oops, just stuck an escaped herculaneus into the ligniperda nest. Stupid things look so similar, even have the same red petiole. The only difference is the ligniperda's long spidery legs. Ligniperda went a bit manic but no fisticuffs

Kaburs: (23. Mär 2008 23:47)

I bought me some fish flakes as well for my ligniperda, for tropical fish, contains even more protein (51%)

mzfckr: (24. Mär 2008 09:25)

my ligniperda layed 10+ eggs in the night :P

SteveUK28: (24. Mär 2008 11:24)

my lignirperda test tube is full eggs, larva and cocoons.. not to mention queen workers and fish food lol...

@Mistz.. is it too late now to get 2 Herc queens and put them together??

badman: (25. Mär 2008 21:34)

I believe it only works in early stages of colony. i.e. 5 or less 1st gen workers.
