This is just one of the 2 piles currently developing. See the difference in colouration between the new and older workers, the pupae have starting hatching now. Not long for a population boost. I'm hoping that one of the small larvae in there will become a major.
Wow your colony is amazing hope mine will be as good as this!
how many workers does yours have now?
Regards
Well I have about 28, the brood from the first batch since hibernation have just begun to hatch. So I guess in the course of the next week or 2 the numbers should hit 50+ very quick.
cool
:P
hope my eggs begin to hatch into larvae soon.
Population boom still going, 70+ now, no sign of a major though. I wonder why they decide and when? Perhaps they know there is no danger to the colony.
When do you call a worker a major?
Because I have 2 big workers, but I have only about 50 workers total.
Hi ProXi, post a picture if you can.
Hello bugsy
I will make some in this weekend
En post it here.
The big workers don't show themselfs anymore.
They are sitting in the nest with very big gaster.
So it isn't possible to make a photo/video of them.
