Hey Guys,

I just wanted to ask for some advice.

Its been about 2 months since the colony came out of hibernation, none of the pupa have hatched yet, I know it sounds silly but I'm starting to worry that they wont hatch at all. Am I worrying too much? Sadly 5 of 9 of the first workers have died. I'm just worried that the others die before the new workers arrive and the queen dies.

As always any advice is appreciated.
Thanks Guys,
Dave

That's why these ants are much harder to keep than everyone thinks.
You can try to put them on a heat mat to speed up the proces a bit.

Hey guys,

Looks like I was worrying about nothing, The first of the second generation workers hatched last night :)

Dave
