This is to be my new basin for my sanguinea. Wanted to post some pictures to make sure everything I have is ok and to ask some questions :) .
1. On one of the images below it shows the slate I made to use for the bottom of the tank, as long as I soak this in boiling water then leave it to air dry this will be ok?
2. Do I need to go to some kind of glass specialist(?) to get tube holes drilled into it?
I doubt you need to boil the slate.
You probably will have to get someone who knows that they are doing to drill the glass. Why do you need holes in it anyway?
Love the 'creepy little guy'. Completely weird, but each to his own.
nice setup and you can drill the holes your self but you need to use a diamond bit and know what your doing
well my uncles a mechanic so I have all the tools, but if its just a diamond bit I need thats cool. oh and damon I need holes in it so I can tube it up to the rest of the setup.
Nice setup, good luck with it.
you also need to keep the drill tip cool and protect your eyes from the glass
yer trickle water on the glass and put something solid behind the glass to stop it smashing, i have never done so myself but im am planning to once i get a diamond drill bit.
i got a glass cutter near me, and he does all my drilling and cuttin.. usualy costs me less than a fiver for my piece of glass with anything done to it... :drink06:
