hey all, ive been playing around with airated concreate bricks, lucky i have found a place that sells brick sized blocks at a very good price! ive attached some pictures of what i created. If anyone is interested in how i made them, or even would like one making for them selfs, then either post a reply or pm me :)

You making very nice formicariums. This ant nest was made flexible ,for all normal ant spec ,I think right ? It is good. I also making formicariums like that ,but If you will have more interesting ant spec. you will must to make more specific formicarium for specific ant spec ;) ,but this is good

yeah you can keep many different types within it. the tunnels are nearly 1cm in widith, and around 8mm deep, so plenty of room for your average ant :). there fun to make... just loads of concrete dust, heh.

here you can see the bowl of water, and the concrete soaks up the water, and makes some of the nest moist, and some dry, with imbetween, so ants can choose where to go.

i have a problem keeping my nest moist i place a tube full of water hooked up to it with cotton wool but over night the whole tube was empty and the block dry,
i cant do like you have as i have no cutting for it is there anything i could do

can you not make the cutting? its very easy to do! and will keep you nest moist for ages!
