Here are the pics of the new ant enclosures, as you can see you fill up the outside section with water to prevent escape.

They are not in place yet and just at the stage where I have to clean them ......

Try buying a barrier when you get your ants. I wouldnt want all your ants to get drowned :(

I found water works well to stop them escaping and my ants tend not to suicide to much.

I have found my water gets white powder in it after a while, this may be the natural lime in tap water?

May be an idea to add something non toxic to the water to stop it from creating the problem I had, as it evaporates leaves the stuff then you top it up with more water, so the concentration of minerals in the water increases. Eventualy my ants could walk on it :).
