The ant-queen, I have seen for the last time in the glass-tube. Since then, she would have to sit in the entrance tunnel of the wood-nest.

Oh, that's annoying. My ants are now approaching the 300 mark with loads of pupae hatching in the past couple of days, almost half the ants in the colony are grey in color and are all considerably larger, When are you putting yours in hibernation? I was thinking end of November to end of January ?
