(For no apparent reason, both formica qeens and slaves ate the brood when it got to cocoon stage and died a week later :pale:. I think I may have checked on them a bit too much before the end)
Found in a rotten stick. (8 queens. Workers 2-4mm)

i got two formica sanguinea queens, but i dont know much about them.are there any things imoportant to get workers?do queen really nees slaves?
do queen really nees slaves?
I don't know if they need slaves, but my queen benifitted from having them, there was no brood before and i nearly got workers from her, but I think i stressed them out too much and they ate the brood.
Does anyone know what species the last group of pics are?
they dont require slaves to be a succesful colony
