I had hoped to see what sort of formicarium you kept them in - my C rogenhoferi are in an open basin in my lounge - see http://ants.org.uk

Polyrhachis Dives will be my next colony, they sound really intresting, and not to hard to keep, any tips?

Anonymous: (13. Mär 2008 23:07)

Actually, they are hard to keep. There are some reports about colonies that grew that big they couldn't be hold in their tanks any longer.
The problem with this species is the fact that they simply grow too fast. There can be 20 queens in a colony so they can grow to an extemely huge colony.
They are expected to practice incest, so the number of queens can even increase in time.
Please do not buy a colony of this species without having experience with european ants.

I absolutely agree with gaster... on the english side of the forum, the downsides of Polyrhachis dives seem to be a bit underacknowledged, and i often had to type something like he did here... please pass information around.
Greets,
Necturus
