These are really beautiful ants! Anyone know where I might be able to get a colony?

All this ants are rare in formicariums ,you can get in only when you have some friend in these country or travel for it to Amazon ;) . Also I think ,If somebody have this specie in EU ,he dont sell it ,because it is very nice ant.

It really is beautiful, am planing on going to South America next year, so i'm gona have to find out about bringing sum back with me!

Here's a pic of a "C. sericeiventris" with golden gaster, from Mexico. It had been identified by an American colleague, though he said that "C. sericeiventris" is a species group comprising a number of more or less different species.

They are in deed very nice, i think they are pretty hard to find, to buy ore trade with.
