Hey Skippy I have honey water and a dead spider on the other side of the Farmicarium however the ants have barricaded the entrance to the tube and do not venture out.
What's up with that :?:
Hmm ... delete barricade with pinzette/pincers/tweezers ??? (no more in English dictionary  )
About honeywater:
you must to changing honeywater every 2-3 days (max) ;)
Skippy
Yup. Otherwise they will get tipsy
I will try tonight - thanks.
Doesn't sugar or honey need to be confined without oxygen to create alcohol?
Nice Queen too!!! and I'm also stealing your idea with the gel farm conversion :-)
I dont know Arcais ,but honey water will start smell - microbs remake it on some not good food for ants ;)
Skippy
Nice Arcais :)
It gives you so many other extension holes to attach tubes.
I have another hole drilled in the buttom of this one but you cant see it from the front.
Looks like Camponotus novaeboracensis (sometimes called noveboracensis thanks to years of misspelling.)
