deansie26: Edinburgh butterfly and insect world (16. Feb 2014 09:52)

[p]Visited this place today, cool set up for their atta, feeding table to rope motorway to a darkened room that housed a few nests. Hi Deanisie!

Great pics. Like the natural environment look.

Those white leaves are cabbage?

The ants also were taking leaves back to the nest via those hanging ropes on the ceiling?

Hey jbc, yeh they where taking the cabbage back to the nest via the ropes, pretty cool. I think they had talcom powder mixed with something round the rim to stop them escaping the feeding table. Any idea what it is?

Wasnt that talcum a bit oily, I mean like viscous? If not then I have no idea.

Maybe that talcum powder is mixed with alcohol. :?
