Nice and early. ;)
it migth be the global warming?
The workers of the specie tend to be found foraging when other ants don't come out. I have seen them out after small rain fall and on cold days. Like honey pot ants they store large amounts of food.
Many species are coming out :D I took a little walk to see what I can find and took pics.
My local Polyergus colony seems to have a nasty mite problem. I hope they will be fine since it's the only Polyergus colony I know of in the area.
