Peenmeister: New Antfarm for Polyrhachis dives (21. Nov 2008 20:43)

I'm building my first antfarm, constructed it from bare materials myself. Am planning on getting Polyrhachis dives ants for it when I can get the climate inside the tank right. I will keep this topic updated with my most recent photo's.

Discusions here

i must admit that looks pretty darn good.. What did you use to seal the glass together?? and how do u plan on gettin a hugh humididty?

Thx :)
I used glass silicon to glue it together. Humidity easily reaches 90% when I just sprinkle some water (about 5cl) onto the soil, due to the airstones in the ground. A 40W ceramic heater get the temperature to about 24 degrees.

Very cool. Are you have a colony in this antfarm now?
