I know what you mean, each time i see other ants (species i do not have) i think, damn, they look nice... ;)
its also good to see other people ants because seeing a colony tells u alot about it and whether u could cope with it

yeah its also good because u can also learn from other peoples mistakes and expirence, so u shoul'nt make any bad mistakes say what they have made and also u should know more about there personality and what they require more and what there behavier is like if u hear them from somebody else's expirence its better 4 u and your colony as u should not say full for the same thing that thay have made a mistake with. also u can learn how to make your species more better for u in return :)
pictures are also very good too i would agree as they do show u a lot how a certain species behavier........ :)

Then I have also Camponotus sp. Thailand and Camponotus substitutus and some Camponotus sp. on the way to me ;)
