Damn, here in Belgium there is no Zoo ore anything where you can go to look at ants. ...
Here in Slovakia also have not any ants ,maybe some Lasius niger on ground :lol: ,I asked them ,but they nothink ,looked on me very ugly :lol: ;)

lol Ive been to that once when i was young I thought all ants were the same :P then but now i know theres different species and I saw some big black ants at turkey I thought they were like lasius niger the same but turns out there not lol so if i go back there ill collect some queens;p
It´s kind of sad to watch them knowing that the queen is dead. :priest:

yeh its is rather Sad, poor ants, i wonder how much they have spent so far on 3 queens !! :?
i have seen 3 colnies of atta leaf cutter ants on at the natural history museum, the one at london zoo and one and longleat zoo which is larger than the other two. london zoo's ants are great as u can watch them walking on the ropes and there is nothing to stop u touching them of course no one does.

slightly off topic, i know that there is a colony of, if i remeber correctly, leaf cutters on show to the public down in devon, i have seen it a few times, next time i go, which is in a few weeks, i will try pop back, they are situated in an otter and butterfly sanctuary, i'l take a few photos and post them up,

Sure do Darradar, here in Belgium you there are no ants in a museum ore a zoo so it's not possible to visit such a nice setup like you guys.
