Just got back - had surgery on Thursday - Percocets are sweet!!!
! on my Carpenter Queens died - all of the other 4 are laying eggs however today i checked and the one queen ate all of the eggs.
What's up with that?

@4mykids: some queens do that, i'm not sure i can explain it why they do it. if my queens do it i give them a little bit of food, somethimes it helps. you can try it. (but i don't garantie it work)

My Leptothorax Acervorum colony (1 queen and 7 workers) have pupae too, they look kind of like your pupae in that pic =)
There popped 8th,9th,10th and 11th workers today so i have 1 queen and 11 workers now =) Some brown pupae too, and some that will be born like week later.
Kind of offtopic, but since i dont have own topic of ants.. ( wich i obviously should make when i get camera ). :oops:
