Does anyone know what species this ant is please? It was found in India and looks like a worker. This is the only picture I have of it. Thank you.

looks like Camponotus Hairytoeous lol, nah dunno mate, looks like a major of campo. though.

Yes it looks like a Camponotus species, but hard to tell from this pictures which one.

looks a bit like C. punctulatus, but aren't they south American?

The are to dark to be punctulatus . And yes they live mostly in south America.
