Mr_Jason: Help with ID (11. Jun 2008 04:13)

Hello,
Can someone help me ID this queen (I think it's a queen). I found her in my swimming pool early this afternoon. I live in USA, Texas. The pictures are not very good but it's the only camera I have. The lines on her abdomen look very yellow with black around it. The rest of her body is a redish color. The closest I can find is Prenolepis imparis. Thanks in advance :)

Someone in another forum said Dorymyrmex flavus. I'm pretty sure he is correct.

Yes Dorymyrmex flavus live in the USA (and also in Texas). They look very similar so he probably is wright about it.
