Hello phalops and welcome.

I'm sorry i'm not so good at this, maybe someone else could help you out. ;)

miszt: (5. Jun 2008 22:43)

Beautiful queen!!

Do you have any workers yet? A shot of workers would be useful

ratgreen: (5. Jun 2008 23:09)

in the first pic it looks like some sort of leafcutter queen, they have huge muscular backs, but im a noob at IDing so thats all i can say.

mzfckr: (6. Jun 2008 09:19)

how big is she?

phalops: (6. Jun 2008 12:04)

13 mm, finded on branch in rain forest, somewhere near nest

Messorus: (6. Jun 2008 14:02)

Hehe, nice queens.. I can say just one think- it is maybe some Myrmicinae, becasue they have petiolus and postpetiolus too, between their abdomen and bosom... :P

miszt: (6. Jun 2008 14:04)

Yes definitly Myrmicinae, I've been looking thru Ant-web but cant find anything similar, would be helpful to see a worker

phalops: (6. Jun 2008 15:40)

unfortunately the workers have not survived the trip to Poland and have started to decompose. A friend of mine is looking for an advice on how to help the queen rise a first generation of workers.

Spore: (6. Jun 2008 15:57)

That species might be harder to keep than other European species.
