JimmyVe: Again ID needed. (3. Jan 2008 23:35)

This queen arrived to me yesterday, again with no ID. Anyone ?
This ant is also from Argentina and she is about 16mm big.

Jimmy just wondering but.. how/why u getting these ants from Argentina ?

This is a Camponotus rufipes queen. Do you have them from Walter?

JimmyVe: (4. Jan 2008 13:51)

Yes i received it from Walter. Something wrong with these ? I hope not, i like here, nice big ant. ;)

@Steve: As you can read i have the Queen (and other Argentina ants) from Walter, he is a guy almost every European ant keeper knows. ;) He sends the ants, the only thing about it, he does not know anything about ants...

@Gaster: that is wired, i asked him the name of the species and he didn't knew it ? Maybe someone told it to him later on. ;)

I didn't mean it in a bad way, but he 'sells' ants to very much people and most of the time he even don't know which species he is selling, and what the best way is to keep them.

oh dont worry, i know you didnt mean it badly, i just find it funny when people sell things and dont have a clue what it is, remindes me of 'only fools and horses', its a comedy over here in england about delboy a guy who sells things, mainly broken and ripps everyone off hehe :D
