At the dutch part of the forum someone posted this pictures, any idea which species it is ? My guess goes out to a Camponotus sp.

Oh, didn't see this posting from you, I allready sent you a PM. Like I wrote, I'm pretty sure its a Camponotus gigas worker. They live in Malaysia and look quite simular to this.

almost certainly camp gigas, the red banding is a good give away, and hte fact it was found in malaysia pretty much confirms it

Believe its Campnotus gigas, too. She looks really huge on the photo and as the others said: the red/brown branding.....
