mtrein: Southern Brazil - Camponotus (6. Feb 2014 13:07)

Hi guys,

Can anyone help me id this Camponotus species? I have five of those queens, first workers have just emerged on 4 of them, and the last one will have her first very soon. I got them in southern Brazil, close to Argentina and Uruguay.

Can you please send it to my e-mail? marcelo.trein@gmail.com

Thanks to all

Ah, I forgot to add... Queens are about 10 to 12mm big, biggest workers get up to about the size of the queen. So much so that it fools me thinking that it is a queen until I get close to it and notice it is a big worker.
