Hello,

Today i found an ant and i don't know what is her ID. Also i'm not sure if this is a queen but by the size of the "chest" it look like one.
This ant was found in south africa (Tanzania) on the ground walking across a sand road :D She is aprox. 14-15mm big

It's a Polyrhachis sp., most probably a worker and not a queen. It's typical for Polyrhachis that the workers have a big thorax and often look like queens, in some species it's very difficult to distinguish the queen from a worker.

Thanks for such a fast responds guys! I'm pretty sure it was a Polyrhachis lestoni and it was not a queen. Thanks MainMan for the link! :D
