I would say that they are Myrmicinae . Take a look between gaster and thorax. But i dont know anything more. Where they able to sting you?
How big are they? Do you have a better picture of the queen?
Definitive Myrmicinae, I guess this could be Aphaenogaster, but I'm not sure. They don't look like a Tetramorium.
Greetings, Phil
Ye Phil, they looks very like this

Unfortunately i cannot take a pix of the queen anymore, she's dug now.
Can u try to help me wich kind of Aphaenogaster are they?
How can i misure the lenght? LOL Sorry but i'm a newbie
Hi,
nope, this can't be A. picea, because it's a american species. Very many Aphaenogaster are looking similar, so it's very difficult and for me not possible to know which species you have. I even can't find a list of italian ant species, but I think there are many Aphaenogaster in Italy.
The most similar ant looking to your Aphaenogaster species which I know is Aphaenogaster subterranea, but I'm not sure.
Greetings, Phil
Here is the queen!
Today i'm been lucky enought to catch her near the glass, see the pict below:

Can we confirm they are Aphaenogaster subterranea then?
