hello everyone,
i was in the garden just the other day when they were loud thuds on the water butt and we looked round and there were ants with red gasters and black rest of the body, well there was what must have been a bunch of female all paired together carrying which i can only guess were males underneath the tank then a few minuted later a bunch of ants came out wingless??
i know spiders pin down their males and take them away and when they are done, they eat them/kill them but i didnt think this accounted for ants and plus females sharing a male between them as a pair???
anyone ever seen this????
matt
p.s. what specie do this and i didnt know where to post it as i wanted the specie identified :) move the post to the appropiate place please :)
how about a picture? :cam:
i was in the garden playing cricket with my family so i didnt havea camera with me  :?
? so how do you expect people to tell you what the ant was without you taking picture ? unless we was in the garden with you its impossible -not said harsh lol
I did say i didnt know where to place this thread :)
I was hoping that maybe a certain specie would be doing this activity :)???
It impossible to know the species with only this. ;) The activity you have seen can happen with all species. :)
