antjordan: Queens found in Canada (14. Aug 2009 15:14)

Hey guys, about a month ago I collected 4 queens ( all of the same species) off the driveway. I'm a rookie when it comes to ants so I need your help in order to identify the species. They are all about 8 mm long.

Here are a couple of pics:

It would be great if someone could identify the species for me. Sorry I know the picture quality isn't the best.

Its hard to tell with the lighting, could be a L asius or F ormica species.

Lasius sp. (neoniger)?

Thanks a lot for the fast reply guys. I looked around some more and they do look very similar to Lasius Niger, although I'm not so sure they are found in my region ( Vancouver, British Columbia) I took a few more photos so maybe it will be easier to ID.
