earlant: Meaning of Camponotus "else" (30. Jul 2007 10:33)

What is the meaning of this name? It sounds like a species name "else" but such a species doesn't exist.
Or is it an individual ant which was named in honour of a girl-friend with name "Else"?
I suggest to change this term because it is misleading. Next time a beginner will ask "Where can I buy a queen of Camponotus else?"
