I'm still looking for the names from this species. Anyone ? ;)
Only pictures of the second Queen. (here there are 2 queens in one tube, with brood :) )
Jimmy in Argentina live about 200-400 species and subspecies of Camponotus , it is really hard to know from pictures which specie are these queens ;) ... it is able only if you have some taxonomically documents and special tools in home :)
I can tell , it is not ligniperda , blandus and maculatus also :)
First one you must research which subgenus is it:
it Camponotus 100 percent
but which one?
Colobopsis ? Tanaemyrmex ? ... ot which?
if you´ll look on diffenrents btw these types ( tanaemyrmex...etc) , then you can know more ;)
Of course that bigger one looks like darker substitutus campo sp.

Yes i know it is difficult only by looking at the picture but maybe someone knows this species and can tell me which kind it is. ;)
I guess you should wait for workers and then you might find out :)
As we are speaking, they have one worker hatched now. I place pictures of it this week.
Let us know who you are,
here .
Thanks !
Finally the picture form the worker, i hope it helps. :)
ohh very very nice Jimmy... ive not seen a worker like that before.. No real markings at all..
Resurrection?
I’m confused. Your 1st post here on 2nd January was „It are both queens arrived to me (sadly they where dead) from Argentina.”
They were dead as an ant can be dead, and your pics showed dead queens until January 14.
By Feb. 12 you depict two living queens “Only pictures of the second Queen. (here there are 2 queens in one tube, with brood )”.
And now these two resurrected (?) queens have a worker? How come? And the queens belonging to 2 different species coexist? Help me I’m getting mad!

Okay, sorry it is a bit difficult. I was to lazy to start a new thread. :P
First i received two dead queens (different species). A few weeks later i received two living queens (from the same species). These two queens you see in one tube and now they have workers. (they are the same species as one from the dead queens).
Hope you understand now. ;)
