What is this species of ant i thinking that is a Messor barbarus queen but I'am not sure.

It's a Messor queen, but I don't know which species this might be. I guess you caught her in Israel (?), so it's probably not M. barbarus.
Greetings, Phil
yes i caught her in Israel, so if it's not M. barbarus what species of ant is this? :?:
There are many Messor species (I think more than 15) in Isreal. The identification is not easy, I don't know (and very probably no one else in this forum) which species this is.
Greetings, Phil
my queen ant looks like this one http://www.antstore.net/viewtopic.php?f=133&t=15312
and she is 1 cm long
All Messor queens look very much alike.
It is very hard to tell which species it is. However the size of 1cm is very small for a Messor queen so there shouldn´t be that many possible species but I don´t know any small Messor species from Israel and I have no time to look it up at the moment. So you will have to go with Messor spp. for the time being.^^

Sorry but what is this "Messor spp"?
When you don´t know what species exactly it is you can either write it as Messor sp. or as Messor spp..
Both means that you have a undefined species of the genus Messor while "spp." is the plural of "sp." and as such is wrong in my original post.^^
It is just a short form of writing species.
So how i will know the species of my ant?
Well you can´t always tell what species it is. Also your pictures aren´t good enough. They would have to be really good for us to be able to tell you more.
But as I said the small size of the ant tells us very much. 1cm is very small for a Messor queen and not many species are that small in Israel.
For example Messor ebeninus queens are about the size of 1cm so it could be a Messor ebeninus. And that is honestly the most I can tell you. I do not have much information about the ants of Israel!
