The queens of Messor cephalotes (described by Menozzi in 1939) are 18 - 18,7 mm long.

The major workers are 13 to 18 mm long.

do you caught the majors outside? is any queen has become fertile?
The winged females, the males and the workers were kept time to make somes photos then were released. The queen have been found two days after in her hole on the area of a big nest.
