Hi Kashmir my colony took 7 days to arrive , Mr kalytta is having problems with england post as its not that quick . Luckily my ants have survived the cold weather .I wish you goodluck , hope you get them safe and well mate.

I think you are gona have to be careful with your setup man, these ants can cooperate by making 'bridges' out of themselves to span longer distances than themselves, it is possible that they may be able to escape from your island :S

Hello miszt , yes i do know they can do that , i supply them with all they need so i am hoping escape is somthing they will not need to do.

the problem is, ants dont think like that, they will explore their teritory as far as they can, so they can defend it properly and find the best food sources, give them even the slightest chance to escape, and they will


as long as there is a good few inches, (they really can cover very large distances, check out the pics in google of their process for building a nest in the wild),probly 6+ for this species, then u shuldnt have a prob, but imo a self contained island is allot safer, rather than having two...i wuldnt want u to wake up in the middle of the night having been bitten a few dozen times by rampaging ants lol

In deed you need to be careful with these ants.
