Most likely in late spring when it has warmed up enough. Exotic species face a very long journey from their hot countries and importing them when there is still a big chance of cold nights is too risky.

Patience is a blessing when you keep ants as a hobby. ;)

But yes, i also think like Phasmid said, in late spring.

It is now the beginning of summer and there still aren't many exotic ants available. Does anyone know when it likely they will become available please?

The trouble with exotic ants is that the weather has to be just right for shipping. During spring we had the unpredictabe snow and frosts that would be bad for exotics but now it has got to the point where the weather is some times too hot for shipping ants over long distances. Antstore will prob. only risk shipping ants in when the weather will be mild from the equator to Berlin. That could be next week or it could be in the autum.

most exotic ants are available during winter in the northern hemisphere.
